Give Birth to Goodness and Walk in Glory, in the Name of Jesus Christ

I am not alone.

Yes, that is right. I am not alone. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I am not alone.

This season has been a rough, but vastly abundant for me. As I am giving birth to all things new, the Holy Spirit of God is renewing my mind by the grace of God. This means that ALL HEALTH ISSUES HAVE TO GO!!

~”And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”~Revelation 21:5, ESV~

That’s right. The Spirit of the Lord spoke to my heart. Even in the past, He fell afresh upon me. The Spirit of God has the power to convict. Conviction, dear reader, is what Jesus Christ did throughout His years of ministry on earth. He convicted many of sin, bringing many into the kingdom of Jesus Christ, because of the power of the Truth of God that was found in His ministry, that drew the multitudes into the heart of God.

As I prayed, a question came into my mind: “How can I be a witness of Jesus Christ to world if I do not give birth to these good things?”

~”Jesus replied, “This kind can be cast out only by prayer.”~Mark 9:29, NLT~

The above Bible verse is the answer to my problem: I must pray and remain steadfast in prayer in order for this desire that God put in me for it to give birth to blessings and not curses. God is faithful. Therefore, I have to trust what is written in His Word.

This past week, I participated in Rosh Hashanah, which is time of consecration and prayer, unto the Lord. I was encouraged to participate in it because my friends from my church, First Baptist Church of Atlanta, and others Facebook friends participate in it.

I prayed: a lot. I consecrated myself as I prayed. I even fasted from beef and pork and did not listen to secular music for this past week.

It is amazing of the Way that God works in you when you obey Him. He parted a sea for me this week. I chose to walk in it and as a result, God convicted me of the following things as I chose to enter into Him:

The Spirit convicted me to make my body a temple for Him. He has convicted me of this many times. I listened, but did not do. I was just a listener, but not a doer of the Word of God. The Spirit of God convicted me to take care of my health in the following ways:

  1. Drink more water.
  2. Get back into exercise.
  3. Eat healthy foods.
  4. Fast and pray.
  5. Repent.
  6. Live forgiven and free.
  7. Do.

Since I chose to fast and pray this week, the Lord has blessed me richly as He has shown me these parts of myself that I need to adjust. I am giving birth to newness. I am giving birth to glory. I am His, as two friends from my church wrote to me in a Thank You card. 🙂

A Thank You Card from my friends from Church.

I rebuke the devil from stealing my blessings in this season of my life, for such a time is this. I will take care of my body as I eat healthy foods and rely on the fruits of the Holy Spirit of God to preserve and make my health whole. God is healing me. The Truth of Jesus Christ allows me to see past my own sins and as He has shown me who the Ultimate Forgiver is. Jesus is a God of Second Chances.

~”Let my vindication come from you: may your eyes see what is right.”~Psalm 17:2, NIV~

I am not my past. God has the power to turn bitter into sweet as the fire of God burns up the pages of my past. My past is not remembered. I am a new creation. I am spring. Winter no longer comes into my thoughts. I walk in the fullness of God today so that I can be a living testimony of the goodness of God from the inside and out to the multitudes. I now write a new book and a new page as I live the abundant life that Jesus intended for me live out on this earth.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”~Isaiah 43:18-19, NIV~

This means that as I lose weight, I will not only be an example of Christ from within. I will be able to show who Christ is to the world by my weight on the outside. Let me explain with this encouragement.

Jesus lived the perfect life that no one could live. He walked in perfect health. He ate healthy. He encouraged His disciples to not just be hearers of the Word, but doers of the Word too.

~”Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.”~John 4:34, ESV~

I cannot be an effective missionary if I do not repent of sins that I have committed in the past. I cannot be an effective missionary if I do not care for my body on the outside. I must practice what the Word of God preaches and live by what it says (from the inside and out).

This coming week, I am going to schedule an appointment with a personal trainer and be sure to post pictures of the progress I make later as God transforms me, from the inside and out. His Spirit is renewing me, from the inside and out. Praise God!

~”Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”~Romans 12:2, NLT~

Let us pray. 🙂 :

Dear God,

Thank You that You are a God of breakthroughs. Thank You that You have made the Way out of the wilderness that I have been in these past years and into my Promised Land. Thank You for showing me areas of my life that I need to repent of and adjust as You make my thoughts and physical body new. Make me accountable for my behavior and send me prayer warriors on my Facebook, church, and blog to pray for me as You make me ready to walk into this Promised Land. You are the Way-Maker because of what Jesus did for me on the cross. I remember this as I pray this, in the Name of Jesus. I pray for readers of this blog and that they will seek the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. May they make it a daily practice and not just something that they put off and do every now and then. Use my story to be a testimony to them, even as they read this and remember me by name and in prayer. Make the Way of Jesus Christ known to them so that they do not remain stuck in the past and embrace Your goodness. May each reader choose to make wise choices as they walk in abundance and fullness and give birth to glory and goodness. I pray that even as I make these changes from the inside that readers will see the change in me on the outside. Do not stop with me until You accomplish the purpose You meant for me to fulfill in this lifetime. Do not stop with every reader until You say, “It is finished!” I give You all of the glory, the honor, and the praise.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen!

God bless you. Thank you for reading.
