Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
Dear reader: When you think of Jesus Christ, what do you think of? Do you think of Him as the King of Kings? Do you think of Him as the LORD of LORDs?
What other names come into your mind when you think of Jesus? For me, He is my Prince of Peace, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
~”For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”~Isaiah 9:6, New Living Translation~
One of the reasons I call Jesus my Prince of Peace is because of the promise that He made to His disciples: He told them, “My peace I give you!”
~”Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”~John 14:27, New International Version~
The peace that Jesus Christ gave to His disciples was a gift from Him to them. He wanted them to have peace in Him. He wanted them to have peace through the Holy Spirit. They wanted them to have peace with Father God, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Peace in Jesus Christ allows me to cast all of my anxieties away. Peace in Jesus Christ allows me to fix my gaze on heavenly things. Peace in Jesus Christ allows me to have peace of God as I bow down the my Prince of Peace, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
~”That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”~Philippians 2:10, 11, New Living Translation~
I bow down to my Prince of Peace. I love my Prince of Peace. I surrender all of my Prince of Peace, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
I let my Prince of Peace rule over my life. I let Him come in. I let Him enter into my heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
The inn of my heart is reserved for my Prince of Peace, in the Name of Jesus Christ. That is because there is room for Jesus to enter into the inn of my heart. I let Him come.
~”Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”~Philippians 4:6-7, New International Version~
As I let Him come in, anxiety flees. As I let Him come in, anger ceases. The war of my flesh gives into the Prince of Peace as I yield to His direction for my life.
And it is everyday that I die to myself and surrender all of my Prince of Peace. Do you?
Let us pray:
Dear God,
Thank You for Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You that You sent Jesus Christ to die for me on the cross of Calvary. Thank You that He is my Prince of Peace. I pray that every reader will trust in Jesus Christ to be their Prince of Peace today. I pray that they will surrender to the leading of Your Holy Spirit. I pray that they will develop such a love for Your Son, Jesus Christ, that they will call Him their Prince of Peace. I give You all of the glory, the honor, and the praise. In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
God bless you, dear reader!
