Rejection is pain. Rejection is painful. Rejection is a real emotion.
It hurts to be rejected, whether it be from your best friend or a family member. All of us will experience rejection at some point in our lives (whether Christian or non-Christian). I remember when I experienced rejection from my ex-friends from college. I felt very hurt and deeply wounded. It took me one year to grieve the loss of losing my best friends not just because the pain was so deep, but because I was friends with them for five years.
Even though it hurt me to be rejected by my two ex-friends from college, this experience drew me even closer to the Lord. This is because God can use our deepest emotional wounds to draw us closer to him. So, I decided to pray to God. I asked God:
Q: Me: What is the root cause of the rejection I feel?
A: God: Fear.
After spending a lot of time with the Lord in prayer, He allowed me to identify that the root cause of the rejection that I feel is because of my fear of being rejected. You see, beloved, this is because rejected people push people away. This can happen to you without you realizing that it is happening. I even began to notice that this was a cycle that I was experiencing, particularly with my church friends and family. Because I was rejected by my ex-friends, I pushed my church friends and family away from me. Those closest to me saw that there was a problem, but I refused to acknowledge the problem.
It was then that Father God brought me to a turning point: He brought me to a point where I had no one to comfort me or to console me from the rejection that I felt. I had to bring the rejection that I felt to the feet of Jesus Christ and His cross……And surrender it all to Him.
Yes, I surrendered rejection to Him. I gave up that demonic spirit called rejection to Father God. I nailed rejection to the cross. Rejection is not the heart of Jesus Christ. I am accepted by my Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Rejection is not my name. Beloved is my name. Cherished is my name. Adored is my name. Precious is my name because Jesus paid it all for me at the cross.
I am loved by my Abba. I am His princess by my Most High God. He accepts me into His Kingdom because He is Jehovah. Rejection is not my name because God erased that from all of me with His cleansing blood.
~”But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”~Isaiah 53:5, .KJV~
Jesus was rejected by the world, but He gave His life for me so that I could receive approval from Him. My approval does not come from my ex-friends. My approval comes from my Most High God. He will always accept me because He already accepted me into His Kingdom 2,000 years ago at the cross.
At the cross, rejection lost its power over me. At the cross, rejection lost its sting. At the cross, rejection was nailed by the hand of God. At the cross, rejection has no place for me as God’s child. At the cross, rejection died. At the cross, Jesus triumphed over rejection and rose: victorious for me. I can now walk in victory because by His stripes, I am healed, in the Name of Jesus Christ. I am free.
~”Where, O death, is your victory? Where O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is in the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”~1 Corinthians 15:55, NIV~
